Reflecting on the position that we are currently find ourselves in, spending a lot more time at home, colour palettes and decorative interior trends have naturally turned to a more earthy and organic feel.
For this exhibition I have taken the idea of the ‘tablescape’, adding organic primitive shapes, curved and chunky, along with quirky imperfect handmade vessels to explore curated table scenes. Using a colour palette that embraces earthy browns, terracotta, and earth-fired finishes, I’ve paired vessels with native flowers and leaves reflecting the Australian environment to bring it inside the home. Contrasting the nature of organic shapes, I have added in linear and more industrial lines of the milk crate and plaid fabrics for visual pattern and interest.
